VII Ain Saadeh | Polypod SAL
Award Winning project - In progress Ain Saade / Lebanon
The project is a vibrant living environment containing thirty villas that stretch over 36,500 square meters of native pine forest. Each villa emergesfrom terraces that retain, sustain, enrich, and expand a modern lifestyle. Uniting nature and modern living, the natural terrain defines the type, location, and orientation of each villa. The siting takes advantage of the specific environmental conditions of each villa, such as the prevailing breeze and access to sunlight. The rough stone cladding of the terrace walls extend to form the base of each villa and the villas emerge above with a refined palette of materials. Wood is introduced for its human scale and warmth where the facade harbors bedroom balconies. Neighborhood mobility is encouraged with sidewalks, stairs and pathways linking the villas to a wooded area and an adjacent recreation facility accommodating sports and other events.
In 2012, Ain Saadeh was awarded Highly Commended Architecture Multiple Residence Lebanon by the International Arabian Property Awards 2012-2013
