Cloud 11, a private apartment, sits on the top floor of a Beirut apartment building with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The design seeks to unify the space by defining a horizontal datum that incorporates the existing balustrades and ties the entire space together by a vertical ribbon that determines the height of niches, internal windows, and material breaks. The minimal space is intended to house a variety of precious objects within a tranquil environment. A long metallic object, fondly known as the airplane, pierces the bedroom wing and houses three separate bathrooms and the entertainment center.
