SAT 7 | Polypod SAL

Located in a suburban context and overlooking a panoramic valley view, the project is a 5,000sqm facility for a television station housing four studios with their services and technical support as well as reception areas, editing suites, administrative offices, and lounges. Conceived as a series of three pavilions, the landscape filters through their various levels and interconnects the blocks through a circulation core – the connector - that is treated as an extension of the outdoors. This allows the project to integrate with the landscape, stepping down with the slope and communicating with the view. The materiality and volumetric language further accentuates the contrast between the heavy presence of the studios with their blind facades and rough natural stone with the light weight cladding and openness of other spaces.
