"Xiangsi” Industrial Creativity Park | ADO Architecture Design Organisation

L’intervento è situato nella città di Tianjin, una della quattro municipalità autonome cinesi, centro economico e hub portuale internazionale.

Tianjin è una città con uno spiccato carattere cosmopolita e internazionale, proiettata nel futuro con profonde e antiche radici culturali di cui sono testimonianza i nove quartieri delle ex concessioni straniere risalenti al periodo tra la fine del XIX e l’inizio del XX secolo.

La ristrutturazione di una fabbrica di gomma edificata negli anni 60, ha rappresentato l’occasione per poter dialogare con un luogo e la sua identità: la sua storia passata è così diventata materiale di ispirazione del progetto.

Ultimato nel luglio 2012, l'edificio (con circa 5.000 metri quadrati di superfici articolate in 3 piani fuori terra)  ha preservato la struttura e lo stile originario rendendolo sia ricollocabile nella memoria storica dell’area sia moderno luogo di incontro e lavoro.

I tre piani della struttura in mattoni rossi sul cortile interno pavimentato in pietra ospitano, oltre agli uffici del gruppo Flight e alla stessa sede della società AD+, una galleria espositiva, un caffè-libreria aperto al pubblico una grande sala multifunzionale per eventi, una mensa e spazi di accoglienza e rappresentanza. La struttura in vetro ed acciaio dell'ultimo piano, ospita un ristorante con terrazza.

“Xiangsi” è un luogo di incontri e scambi culturali, spazio aperto ad eventi e rassegne di aziende ed istituzioni.

The project has been realized in the city of Tianjin, one of the four autonomous municipalities in China, international economic center and port hub.
Tianjin is a cosmopolitan and international city, it is projected into the future but at the same time has deep and ancient cultural roots of which the nine districts of the foreign concessions dated back to the late nineteenth and early twentieth century are the proof.
The restructuring of a rubber factory built in the 60s was an opportunity to open a dialogue with the city of Tianjin and its identity: thus, its history has become the subject of inspiration for the project.
Completed in July 2012, the building (about 5,000 square meters of land divided into 3 floors above ground) has preserved its original structure and style, therefor it’s possible to relocated it in the historical memory of the area and also as a modern place where to meet and work together.
In three floors of this building made of red brick and its interior courtyard paved with stones  are located not only the offices of the Flight company but also the AD + company ones , an exhibition gallery, a public cafe-library, a big multifunctional room, a canteen, a reception areas and representation area. In the structure made of glass and steel on the top floor Is located a restaurant with a huge balcony.
"Xiangsi" is a place for meetings and cultural exchanges, it’s an open space for events and reviews of companies and institutions.
