The new branch of Medlac Pharma - italian pharmaceutical company specialized in dermatological products and transdermal plaster - set in the recently developed industrial area Hoa Lac Hi-TeckParck, 50 kilometers from Hanoi, Vietnam.

The industrial complex is characterised by horizontal volumes and strong visual lightness. Built on a 15.000 square meters land surface it includes an office building and a production plant for a total amount of approximately 3.400 square meters of built surface.

The New Medlac branch in Vietnam designed by Alvisi Kirimoto + Partners consist in two blocks. The smaller one develops on two levels and houses the administrative offices. the larger one holds the production plants.

The office building with rectangular plan is characterised by an entirely transparent outside skin made of structural U-profile glass walls.

Numerous portions of the glass walls, of different width and positioned in a random pattern, can be opened. Adjustable sunshades made with white lacquered wood panels, lending the building a light mood and visual movement, screen these windows.

An imposing whole-height niche that frames and defines the entrance to the office building dominates the longer side of the facade. The front of the niches is clad in large glass panes, while the side walls are plastered in white, to confer an impression of lightness of the new headquarters of Medlac.

The whole-height entrance hall features reception, courtesy lounge and main staircase with metal frame and glass parapets.

The ground floor is divided into two areas. The management area includes a dedicated secretariat and two large executive offices with connected bathrooms. The second area features a large corridor leading to the conference hall, a second secretariat, administrative offices and other service and bathrooms. The remaining area on the floor plan of the building includes even part of the staff canteen.

The Medlac production area is set on the back of the office building and is connected to it by means of a low, used for the second and larger part of the staff canteen.

The opaque structure features openings towards the square covered by two large cantilevered roofs.

La nuova sede di Medlac Pharma – casa farmaceutica italiana specializzata in prodotti dermatologici e cerotti trans-dermici – è situata nella recente area industriale Hoa Lac Hi-TechPark a 50 chilometri da Hanoi, Vietnam.

Caratterizzato da volumi orizzontali e da elevata leggerezza visuale, il complesso industriale si sviluppa su un area di 15.000 metri quadrati e comprende una palazzina amministrativa e un unità produttiva per una superficie costruita totale di circa 3.400 metri quadrati.

La nuova sede di Medlac in Vietnam concepita dagli architetti Alvisi Kirimoto + Partners è composta da due blocchi di cui il più piccolo, su due livelli, ospita gli uffici amministrativi mentre il più grande accoglie gli impianti produttivi. La palazzina uffici a pianta rettangolare è caratterizzata da un involucro esterno interamente trasparente realizzato con vetrate strutturali del tipo U-glass.

Sul lato lungo della facciata un’imponente nicchia a tutta altezza inquadra e definisce l’ingresso all’edificio amministrativo. La facciata frontale della nicchia è dotata di grandi vetri mentre le sue pareti laterali sono intonacate di bianco, colore in grado di enfatizzare l’impronta di leggerezza della nuova sede di Medlac.

La hall d’ingresso all’azienda si sviluppa appunto per tutta l’altezza dell’edificio e ospita reception, lounge di cortesia e scala principale con struttura metallica e parapetti in vetro.

Il piano terra è suddiviso nella parte manageriale – con un segretariato dedicato, due grandi uffici direzionali e rispettivi servizi – e in una parte con un grande corridoio che collega la sala conferenze, un secondo segretariato, gli uffici amministrativi e ulteriori servizi. L’area restante in fondo all’edificio integra anche una parte della mensa aziendale.

Al piano superiore, la suddivisione degli spazi riprende lo stesso schema di suddivisione tra area manageriale e amministrativa e offre inoltre la possibilità di trasformare rispettivamente due piccole sale riunioni e due uffici in spazi unici più grandi.

L’area produttiva di Medlac, situata sul retro della palazzina uffici, è connessa alla stessa palazzina attraverso un volume basso e retrocesso, adibito alla seconda e più grande parte della mensa aziendale.

L’intero involucro è opaco e presenta delle aperture sul lato del piazzale che è coperto da due grandi tettoie a sbalzo. Il complesso è inserito in un’area verde alberata, progettata dallo stesso studio. Oltre ad integrare le vie di accesso e il parcheggio, questo contorno di verde e natura trasmette un atmosfera lieve ai dipendenti, ai clienti e agli ospiti di Medlac Hanoi.

The complex is set in a green area conceived by Alvisi Kirimoto + Partners the architecture firm. This green, natural frame with lawns and trees, including the accesses and the car park, creates a friendly atmosphere and welcomes at best employees, client and guests.
