When challenged to create a fruit bowl concept from thin plywood sheets, we drew on our architectural model making experience. We often construct models of the ground plane where a building project is situated. By tracing the survey data and cutting each individual contour line out of cardboard we then stack them all together to create a representation of the earths contours.

So we performed a similar operation with the contour bowl by cutting a series of plywood sheets, each slightly varried in shape, so when stacked together they form a bowl.
