According to the idea of culture and education as a way to elevate our senses, we designed the shape of the New Central Library as a kite.

Søren Kierkegaard writes:

" The most sorrowful thing that can be said about a person is: he cannot lifted up, his own knowledge can lift him up. Like a child who lets his kite go skyward, he lets his own knowledge ascend. "

We want to express this idea into the form.

An external wood shell, the kite, contains inside a glass cube, the heart of knowledge. We want to create an open space that can link people to each other people, a place to stay, where you can read a book, listen music and talk with friends while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

The key element of our project is the nature that breaks into our glass heart, creating a connection between the inside and the outside. This creates a relaxing and harmonic atmosphere according to the hygge feeling.

The different floors overlock the green constituited by a "tree of life" which usually connects the spaces between them.

They are connected also by a system of ramps-libraries which delimit two spaces: an inner and intimate where to study, and one more external and public space, the space of relationships.
