Co-Work are providers of shared workspaces for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses and have been taking the professional world by storm thanks to their unique, intelligent and economical business strategies and it’s only a matter of time before they reach the top, with PENSON coming along to help make the journey as comfortable as possible.

No strangers to economical work processes themselves, PENSON have always been adamant that budget doesn’t have to mean boring and regularly provide impeccably high standards of interior design and architecture to clients on a lean budget. Teaming up with a client with similar beliefs about always working to do the best for your customers was a no brainer and PENSON have now secured a rollout contract to design all of Co-Work’s future buildings – starting with Co-Work Angel.

With an open brief in look and feel to design a sleek, modern space rejecting all things boring, they managed to create a spacious, vibrant and refreshing work environment whilst simultaneously ensuring nothing went to waste and that they kept to a shrewd budget.

After creating the large open plan office it was the finishing touches that would transform the room and add that extra bit of flair. Neon yellow paintwork, debossed ceilings, exposed pipework, impressive fluorescent lighting fixtures and glass conference rooms should have that covered. That is, glass conference rooms embellished with huge sets of angel wings – paying homage to the office’s location.

Typically of PENSON, the workspaces are bright, spacious and aesthetically pleasing, the perfect example of their ability to make an area ooze character and style without being over exuberant. A separate rest area for workers to relax during their lunch break helps to bring a cozy contrast to the futuristic professionalism of the rest of the room, with a welcoming kitchen and top of the range coffee machine helping to keep everyone at the top of their game. This separate relaxing area is a real luxury for users of shared workspaces, with most other companies in the business providing one-room offices with no extra space to unwind.

Never the type to forget that happy employees are what make an office run smoothly, PENSON designed a special call pod to allow workers to make both personal and business calls in privacy and comfort rather than having to hang around in hallways or staircases like many other workspaces. They can even take a seat in the Bond villain-esque copper and leather armchair that was installed to add a little extra flair to the room.

The next step for Co-Work as they continue to make leaps and bounds in rapidly redesigning their field for the better is an expansion of their office in Borough that is soon to open its doors. After that it’s on to the next plot as they carry out their impressive growth plans.

Overall this first project with Co-Work encompasses all that is PENSON: simple designs with a contemporary twist, not a boring light fixture in sight and clients taking all of their important calls from the comfort of a Bond chair.
