Alexander park Mini-City proposal | Trofimov studio

 This project in the center of Saint-Petersburg plays an important role in cultural and tourist life of the city. The territory of a garden of «Mini-city» is located in the heart of Aleksandrovsky Park. The garden is divided into several parts: landscape objects, sculpture composition of the city center model with main buildings performed in bronze, "green labyrinth" with a statue of St. Peter and bronze composition entitled "The great architects of St. Petersburg at the table". Territory, allocated for the design, previously used to be poorly visited and thus seemed dangerous. Thus, the main goal was to incorporate new object in the existing ensemble of the park, as well as to reconstruct part of the Kronverskaya embankment ducts and to break pedestrian communication to the Petropavlovskaya fortress. We decided to integrate pedestrian zones and lawn, making on the place of their conjunction paving with a pixel pattern. With the direction of the same pattern, we managed to make an accent on the drop-down prospectives of the St. Peters Cathedral. The project also meant partial renewal of dendrologic structure of this fragment of the park. As a result, the customer decided to simplify the project proposal. In 2011, in Aleksandrovsky Park have been implemented only a few fragments of a bronze model of the city and sculptures:  "Architects" and "The St. Apostle Peter.
