The new third extension of Museum Storage Facility could be located on both sides of the railway and could accommodate 4.25 and 0.3 ha. The main functional idea is to place most of the new area underground in order to make quality public spaces in the ground level and also to keep logistics inside the complex. Design of the facades “continues” the ideas of the 2nd stage: golden volumes with dark granite protrusions and semi closed cozy public areas. In front of the ensemble there would be a large square – a landscape park with relief of “archaeological vertical cuts”.
According national tradition the most significant parts and details of a building can be painted with golden color that symbolizes the spirit and wealth. The new Building 3 looks like a “semi-finished solid” with golden polished elevations and a coarse bottom as a “5th façade” under which small public spaces are located.
