The project is located in front of the central park of Jaipur in close proximity to the Birla Auditorium and several key state government buildings, abutting an earlier development built by the Client in the seventies, which is considered one of the key contemporary landmarks of the city.

The urban structure of Jaipur, which was designed as a capital for royalty of Rajasthan, showcases the history and culture of the region. The design of the residential complex takes inspiration from the idea of the traditional Indian Haveli, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.

In the project, the Haveli is both ‘exclusive’ and ‘inclusive’. It addresses the needs of the typical family nucleus with a progression of different spaces, from very private to semi-private, semi-public and very public, promoting both the sense of community as well as allowing for an expression of the individual identity of each inhabitant.

The architecture is further shaped by a positive/negative design, which aims to blur the line between inside and outside, filtering the intimate spaces and providing buffer zones with a double value: an environmental one responding to the climatic conditions of Rajasthan, and an architectural one in extending the interior living space towards the exterior landscape, with different uses as seasons change. The overlap of different green layers creates a holistically natural landscape that can be directly and personally customised by the residents.
