Fratelli Beretta, historic Italian company in the production of sausages and hams, is already present in America with two factory, one in New Jersey and the other in California.
The project, which will be completed by May 2015, is the new factory of New Jersey located in Mount Olive. The project is inspired by the nature of the place which is characterized by the presence of large areas of lawn, the trees and the forest that is the background to the new complex. The project seeks a close relationship with the existing natural elements with the use of colors and finishing materials related to the landscape. The organization of the plan locates car parks and the movement of vehicles along the south and north sides of the freeing and surrounded by greenery, facing east which remains raised above the street level. The new industrial complex is composed of two volumes which are distinguished by size, height and finishes. The building of the plant is a rectangle placed on the floor of the ground closed by panels dark brown so as to visually reduce the impact of the tallest building in the site. The color also reminds the color of the bricks that are part of the industrial heritage of the country. The office building is a lower body, slightly detached from the main building and suspended on the ground, which stretches the entire length of the east front to the road and is completely covered with vertical wood planks. The wooden finish continues on the south side buildings places of flaps. The intent is to relate the elements of nature with the finishing of the building to create a visual continuity between the forest and building , the trees and the coating of wood.
