Hermitage Repository and Exhibition Facility

Main lobby in the building X is large and spacious. One of its walls is a stained-glass window that overlooks the inner garden. Although the room is double-height we have made it in white colors, not only to improve the perception of different form combinations of bearing system and furniture, but also to allow the daylight pervade as far as possible inside the room. This space is mainly focused on its stained-glass wall behind which stands a bronze statue of "Archer" (Strobel, 1916). There is an open passage or bridge on the second level of the lobby. Its floor is made of glass that makes 1st floor brighter.

All the spaces for exhibition and storage are also finished with white or light colors to make proper background for exhibits. Behind these simple white surfaces hides a wide variety of new technologies for safekeeping and presentation of museum’s treasures. The only rooms that have intensive color are auditorium and corridors. Colors with natural materials together make warm and cozy spaces.

All the public stairs are not just a way from one floor to another. It is a space that connects different floors with its unique designs.
