The project’s idea started observing pictures and images of architecture. I have never liked the lack of life in the architectural representations that are often aseptic, clean and neutral. I often enjoy imagining what life would be like in these static images. They are comparable to still life’s paintings. The architecture is represented in a lonely estrangement from any disturbance of vision and all that belongs to our reality, it is cleaned and stripped of all context’s traces. As always, the aim of the architecture is to design and then build a space where people can live and practice their activities. I wanted to do a graphic exercise in which having fun including "life" in a place born and meant for people. Representing architectural interiors not as mere inanimate scenarios but like sets of portraits of everyday life. To do this, who better than some of the myths of cinema to help me animate these scenes and to play themselves into a frame of an ordinary day. We often used to perceive and read the architecture as a set of almost metaphysical spaces. In a similarly way we see the actors as characters and not as people. I wanted to try to reverse these patterns: to transform the interior into "houses" and the actors in "people." In Archilife, I imagine 17 little stories that try to approximate the architecture to reality, putting the man, and not only forms at the center of space research. Representing the space not simply as a self‐referential practice but as a scenography of a space alive and real. The time’s suspension and the motionless tension in which the action is out of the scene approaching the world of the images, that represent architecture, to the cinema’s universe. In these pictures I try to exalt the "banality of everyday life" by famous performers employed in simple actions that interact with the space that hosts them.
