Lugaro 15 | Progetto CMR - Massimo Roj Architects

The Italian team of Progetto CMR has been involved in a project of renovation of a building in Turin, in Lugaro Street. The 35,000 sqm building has been given a completely fresh, modern look, both on the outside and in the interior spaces. Starting from the building envelope, the main change brought by the project is the realization of a "high-performance" glass facade on the east front, on which blue brise soleil have been inserted.

The building hosts the main offices of La Stampa (on the first two floor), an italian newspaper, and Alpitour, the Italian company leader in tourism sector (placed from the third to the fifth floor).

The plan designed by Progetto CMR has also included the renovation of both the two headquarters. The offices of La Stampa, also called "Enterprise" for their similarity with the well-know Star trek spaceship, are characterized by a combination of transparent sections, concentric lines and captivating design. Colors and fancy are the main features of Alpitour offices, whose design evokes the corporate mission thanks to the colored rooms in the open-space area, which remind small floating island in the sea.
