The Guggenheim Helsinki Museum is designed like a public city space. The museum attracts people not only for contemplate Arts, but for walking on embankment, galleries and roof, for convenient path from museums to seafront, from park on the hill to the market square.


Visitors enter the main lobby, rise in elevators on 4th floor and begin walk down through exhibition. The path is continuous, has horizontal and inclined portions and leads to the elevators lobby on the each floor.


Block of multifunctional/conference hall, restaurant and cafe/bar has additional entrance and can be open when the museum is closed or for special events.


All of materials are natural. Wooden lamellas create complex. Some parts of facades seem transparent, others seem solid wooden surface.


There are a lot of terraces, outdoor stairs. This structure will become a landmark of South harbor and space for leisure for tourists and residents.
