Select Property Group’s CitySuites residential project, designed by Flanagan Lawrence, has received planning approval.

The 17-storey scheme rises to approximately 54m above street level at the parapet and consists of 260 studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, predominantly south and east facing. CitySuites will bring a new concept in rented living to Manchester, offering short term tenancy agreements – from as little as one month – while also delivering a range of luxury services usually associated with a hotel stay. Facilities will include including a reception, gym, lap pool and jacuzzi.

The scheme is aimed at young professionals, executives and business people who want high quality accommodation with the excitement and convenience of living in the heart of the city. The development is located within the Greengate regeneration project close to Manchester Cathedral, and is due for delivery in 2016.

A café and restaurant occupy an impressive triple-height space at the eastern corner. Glazing is generally located to south and north facades, complementing the orientation of the apartment plans. At the eastern end, glazing wraps the corner, reducing the apparent mass of the building and affording occupants with impressive views across the city.
