To give to nature exactly what she gives to man, just as a tree absorbs heat, carbon dioxide and water and then returns a corresponding quantity of things: the installation is a tribute to an Earth that is often thoughtlessly consumed by man, who transforms it in a conscious or involuntary way. The cyclical exchange established between the Earth and every living being always repeats in the same way. In the installation ten large stylized trees come together to create a spatial quality halfway between nature and artifice: they represent a forest that at the same time is an archetype of sacred space and an element of nourishment of the earth. The materials with which the trees are made are natural: lamellar bamboo and wood, in tune with the concept of resources that come from and are returned to nature. The ten trees, five meters high, with a flared conical form, are lined up in two perfectly symmetrical rows; the specular doubling of the foliage creates a concave ogival space that covers and protects. The trunks are like the pillars of a nave in a Gothic cathedral, while the upward flares extend to gather nourishment from the environment. The speakers are by Architettura Sonora.

Donare alla natura ciò che essa dà all’uomo, come fa l’albero, che assorbe calore, anidride carbonica e acqua per restituire altrettanti elementi: l’installazione è l’omaggio a una terra spesso consumata senza riguardo dall’uomo, che ne è trasformatore consapevole o involontario. Lo scambio ciclico che si stabilisce tra la terra e ogni essere vivente si ripete sempre nel medesimo modo. Nell’installazione dieci grandi alberi stilizzati creano, avvicinandosi, una spazialità a metà tra natura ed artificio: rappresentano una foresta, che è al tempo stesso archetipo di spazialità sacrale ed elemento di nutrizione della terra. I materiali con cui sono realizzati sono naturali: bambù lamellare e legno, in armonia con il concetto di risorse che vengono dalla natura e che ad essa tornano. I dieci alberi, alti cinque metri e di forma conica svasata, sono allineati su due file, perfettamente simmetrici; il raddoppio speculare delle chiome crea al di sotto uno spazio concavo a sesto acuto che copre e protegge. I tronchi richiamano le colonne di una navata in una cattedrale gotica, mentre le svasature verso l’alto si protendono per raccogliere nutrimento dall’ambiente.
