A collaboration with Valerie Arthur, Matthew Barnlund, Elysia Belilove, Angela Carpenter, Maksim Drapey, Evan Kalogiannis, Liv Marrese, Maggie McNeill, Michael McDowell, Paul Scrugham, Cynthia Wong, and Jack Wong.
The studio indulged in curiosities related to the fantastical experience of the world above and below by developing a project that emanates from an interest in architectural behaviors (surfaces), or spatial envelopes, relative to the physicality between artifact (silos) and body (earth). The rituals of occupation are well known and are a commentary on the basic habitual relationships between body and space, and origin. The ritual of ascending is a long and celebrated act, which serves as basis for Kissing Sparrows.
