U Hostels comes from the experiences lived by a Young spanish investment banker.
After several years of hard work he decided to take a gap in his busy life to work as a volunteer in Africa and India and to travel around the world. After arriving back to Madrid, he decided to change his professional carrier and to star-up a new business. After travelling around more than 24 countries in five different continents and after plenty of nights in different hostels around the world, he started to ask himself several questions: Why accommodation cannot be good and cheap?

Trying to give answer to this question, he created a new concept of accommodation and named U Hostels:
A hotel with the experiences, activities and prices of a hostel.
A “hostel” with the quality and services of a hotel.
In order to reach his goal, he spent more than a year looking for the perfect location in Madrid to establish his new business idea He found the place in an amazing palace from XIX century located in the number 22 of Sagasta Street in Madrid.
Thanks to the support of his family, friends, and other investors, U Hostels was born in a fully renovated building that offers a modern, spacious and cosy accommodation in where everything has been thought to make its guests feel at home.
U Hostels is a new and spectacular place with many different types of rooms, most of them, with its own balcony, fully adapted for disabled guests and where design and the most fun activities along with a full range of services makes it definitely, the best hostel in Madrid
