These two houses, built on a hillside acacia-grove in a rural city, are owned by two good friends and are only slightly different. The spacious site allowed for the free positioning of the houses. The service rooms are located in the basement, while the ground floor features covered terraces and living areas, which face the hillside. There is a great view towards the advantageous points of the compass, and this happily coincides with the direction of arrival; self-evidently, the garages open under the living rooms. The composition is based on the rotation of the three volumes around the same axis, which allows for an ideal positioning of the rooms. The guest entrance faces the slope, while the exit to the garden faces west; both are protected by lateral loggias turned out of the main volume of the building. The facades and spaces of the congruent wings of the buildings are characterized by different cladding materials, their distribution being the exact opposite of that of the neighbouring house.
