AUTOBAN RESIDENCY AT DDC | Autoban

On 23rd October, during New York City’s annual Architecture and Design Month, Istanbul-based interdisciplinary design studio, Autoban takes residence at DDC. The acclaimed design studio, specialising in architecture, interiors and product, transports their unique sensibility to New York, creating a welcoming home environment within the DDC showroom.

Autoban has a narrative approach to interior design, developing a story where each piece of furniture is a character, and each space has a soul and a past. The studio has received numerous accolades for their work, and this year Gestalten published the first book dedicated to Autoban’s interior and architectural work, marking the studio’s 10 year anniversary. For the first time, New Yorkers have the opportunity to experience Autoban’s transformative interiors first hand, through the largest exhibition of Autoban furniture ever in the city, including products never before seen in the USA, Cloud Table and Scrub Desk. Each design is realised to the highest standard by luxury modern woodworkers, De La Espada. The Autoban Residency at DDC presents the furniture accompanied by personal objects, and carefully chosen books and accessories, to create and Autoban home within the context of New York City life.
