The new architectural concept for Goody’s Burger House restaurants was created in response to the company’s desire to redefine the identity of its fast food venues that have established it as a recognized brand name in the Greek market. The proposed space, with its warm and intimate environment, recalls the joy of a communal kitchen where family and friends share the table and the joyful memories of a garden barbecue or a picnic in the countryside.

The new Goody’s Burger House concept has been implemented in a new restaurant of the brand in the area of Passalimani in Piraeus. The counter area, highlighted by cement tiles with geometric patterns on the floor, dominates the space. Wooden plank cladding on the façade of the counter and on the ceiling above it, along with white glossy tiles at the back-counter create a special atmosphere. A key element of the new concept, the semi-enclosed kitchen is prominent here. Alternating translucent glass panels and openings, the kitchen communicates with the main hall making food preparation visible to some extent and creating an overall impression of a larger and more luminous space.

Colorful tables, school-type chairs, a large asymmetrical communal table, natural materials such as wood, metal and lavaplaster along with bold graphics on the surrounding walls enhance the aesthetics of the Burger House concept.

On the lower level, the feel of an interior courtyard is created with the use of cement tiles on the floor, old-fashioned brass lighting fixtures on the wall and a large L-shaped couch with colorful pillows. A semi-permeable boundary composed of metal rods runs along the mezzanine and the staircase highlighting the interior space and making the volume of the loft appear “lighter”. Occupying a prominent location in a historic building in the heart of Piraeus, the façade of the restaurant has been meticulously designed. Its concept is based on the division of the large glass panes into smaller ones reminiscent of the scale of a house instead of a commercial space with the intention to transcend the Burger House atmosphere from the interior space to the outdoor space and the street.
