The new Wakefield One office development for Wakefield Metropolitan District Council and is part of a larger master plan for the Wakefield Westgate area, intended to create a new high quality, mixed-use urban quarter between the East Coast Main Line railway and Wakefield town centre. The office development will be a modern, open-plan, low energy development to accommodate approximately 1500 staff. The project achieved a BREEAM excellent rating and has won a number of design awards.
