This large double-fronted Victorian house was reinstated back to a single family dwelling, from 4 flats. The challenge was to create an ‘open plan’ house with dramatic spaces which respected the original house and its context. The staircase was repositioned so all living spaces could face south and connect with the garden. The lower ground floor and ground floor are linked with a new double-height space and giant motorized sash window.
