The "Consorzio Agrario" can be defined as farmers' cooperative, whose agencies, spread through the Italian national territory, have had the purpose of contributing to the innovation and the improvement of agricultural production.
The intervention has focused the attention on the agency of Volla, that was build in 1972 a period that has preceded the urban development of the city. In the same year the "Consorzio Agrario" build a huge number of his agencies, as mentioned throughout the Italian territory, creating a perfect network.
About architectural interest, all of those buildings, look very similar to each other, as if they had been built following a single project. Indeed below an in-depth analysis, it emerges that all the building site were had directed only by Engineer Simoncelli. It is no coincidence that, following the failure and closing of the cooperatives at the end of '80th, their buildings have shown similar damages over time.
In this case, the analysis focused on the recognition of critical damages related to the different technological section of the building (like vertical and horizontal load-bearing structures, iron frames, external walls, staircase, roof and finishing) in order to find the best solution of reuse of the building according to the new needs and performances.
