Dover Street Market is a multilevel fashion retail and concept store created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons. September 2014 marked its 10th birthday.

West Architecture collaborated with Dover Street Market to deliver their concept for an installation celebrating the next ten years of the store.

Constructed from plywood and scaffolding, it was positioned in front of the store’s front facade on Dover Street in Mayfair. The installation was procured and constructed within six weeks of receiving the final sketches from Comme des Garçons in Japan, and installed without any disruption to the normal operation of the store.
