'24mm' project 'Basic' and 'Experimental' version. | Arend Groosman
Netherlands / 2020
‘24mm’ is a modular system designed by Arend Groosman that got its’ name from the measurements of the material from which the system is created: laths of 24x24 millimetres. By working with certain constraints in the size of the building-block, we created a system that has infinite creative possibilities within designing our furniture but can also have applications in a much wider range. ‘24mm’ products are all made in our own studio, with machines built and developed by ourselves. The concept behind our products is that by designing one intelligent system, the production technique can be more and more perfected and make a whole range of products possible.
The new furniture collection of ’24mm’ consists of construction kits that can be used perfectly for custom solutions, as well as a new experimental version of the system that can be constructed in many different ways in a playful manner
It is an all-round construction system for the human scale.
