LAGI 2014 Proposal competition

Between the veil of the sky and sea joins the land and where the waves arrive a new place, where life grows on arid soil and it will emanate color and energy is created. "Smooth sailing" as they say, and driven by the north wind, a strip of sky pigments makes a spectacle of colors that vibrate the skin and full of light the bulbs. Each step in BlæstHavn is a light, every movement is energy, let yourself be guided by a lighthouse, learn from it and make that your presence in it will generate shaped power in color.

Copenhagen is currently considered as a metropolis of the environment, said appointment shall have a structure according to their status, a structure which is icon of the capital Danish, icon of sustainability worldwide.

This is conceived a complex that not only satisfy the energy needs of the city, but also reflects the change in mentality and era into renewable and clean energy transition. The projection of the complex goes far beyond solving a problem, the generation of electricity by means of nature, the proposal has much to do with the social part, learning, education of the younger generation, recreation and the reflection of the Danish population in him, a cultural destination which make the Danes feel proud and  that the visitors to enjoy absolute majesty to explore every corner of BlæstHavn the greatness of a people seeking a change, a change to the welfare of its inhabitants and the world.

Denmark being a flat country with notable absence of hills and mountains is suitable for harnessing wind, possessing few obstacles air currents heavily hit the Danish landscape and Copenhagen is greatly benefited, for this structure is conceived no more than a hundred meters high to capture the strong breezes that escape into the Baltic Sea.

This structure will become one of the highest in Denmark and northern Europe, is the centerpiece of Refshaleøen icon of Copenhagen and sustainability worldwide, this has small piezoelectric sheets which shall wave the wind and create itself a dynamic effect that will give life to the structure, this tower will capture so many winds from its base as the ambient temperature, the sensor has a thermophotovoltaic within which they perceive temperature changes inside as this structure functions as a large greenhouse, the temperature changes are transmitted from the sensors by lead wires, this is transformed into electrical energy and allows both supply itself as collecting energy to supply the population.

Generating electricity from the kinetic energy:

The proposal has a number of filaments located around the perimeter surrounding the large central tower, they are in progressive series ranging from filaments of twenty to fifty feet high, each of them have a like hair microfilaments which range and rub together, these activities produce energy by movement and this is translated to electrical energy. This whole series of events are pre-generated by air currents.

Piezoelectric generators:

Converts mechanical stress into electrical energy, wind energy, vibration, friction or friction of human action can form a synergy of power generation. Cultural and recreational events to be held in BlæstHavn contribute to the generation of electrical energy to be used to supply the facility and excess will be stored in batteries liquid metal for later use, namely, performing concerts, everyday activities such as trot or cycling will be enough for every visitor can contribute to energy generation as these actions fall on different piezoelectric tiles installed on BlæstHavn located at strategic points to maximize their effectiveness.

Energy regulation (progressive energy saving):

All these networks to be supplied by themselves have the power to illuminate regulating energy use thanks to sensors present in each filament (thermo-photovoltaic sensors). These sensors will determine the light intensity as much as the activity and circulation around, also weather and meteorological condition (clouds, moonlight). Light irradiation depends on the seasons and state the day (rainy, warm, sunny, cloudy, etc...) and therefore will be warm or cold colors in its lighting.

Materials:

Recycled-Steel

Concrete landfill-recycling

Thermal-Glass

Power energy generator:

2000 MW per year, this would decrease by more than 14 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere
