Alberi, prati fioriti e arredi realizzati con materiali riciclati ed eco-compatibili nella bellissima Piazza Cavour di Como. Per esaudire i desideri di cittadini e turisti e lanciare il messaggio che una città più verde è possibile.

Un sogno verde è l’allestimento ideato per Orticolario 2014 dall’architetto e Landscape Designer Valerio Cozzi e realizzato grazie al sostegno di aziende, vivaisti, enti e artigiani che al mondo del verde si dedicano con impegno e passione da anni.

Un sogno verde è una piazza nella piazza, progettata a partire dall’eredità storica di Como: quella scacchiera disegnata dal Cardo e Decumano romani che ancora oggi offrono ad ogni angolo scorci improvvisi sui suoi tesori architettonici e sul lago.

Un sogno verde è una piccola città modello, dove le persone abitano edifici efficienti dal punto di vista energetico grazie al verde pensile, gli alberi crescono sani e City Farm offrono lavoro, svago e ortaggi freschi a km zero. Un sogno verde è un sogno possibile. Venite a sognare con noi dal 26 settembre al 5 ottobre 2014 a Como, in Piazza Cavour.

From 26th September to 5th October 2014 the most renowned Como Square facing the lake will host the temporary installation “A green dream” by the Architect and Landscape Designer Valerio Cozzi.  

It’s a welcoming square in the square, consisting of eco-friendly seats, planters filled with eatable herbs and a small, gentle urban forest of oaks, maples, poplars and limes.

Take a look to the city green around: flower beds and trees use to be something “added” to the urban organism, that require expensive care and renovation. In our green dream vegetation is a vital component of the built-up ecosystem. Are we dreaming? Just a little bit… because living in a greener city is possible!

The installation is a vision of a modern city full of well grown trees, garden roofs and urban farms thanks to the latest ecological and technological instances.
Buildings too, evoked by the WPC seats designed to remind the ancient Roman city chessboard, participate to offer an enjoyable and sustainable city life.

A green dream participate to the flower exhibition Orticolario 2014 – section “Beyond the borders”, which is the novelty of this edition, ideated to export creative suggestions from Villa Carlotta (the traditional location of the exhibition) to city landscape.
