The new stadium will  replace the Qemal Stafa Stadium, built in 1946 and renovated in already 1974.

The stadium is located in a historic area of the city, towards the extreme south, a few kilometers from the historical center, in one of the most interesting areas of the Albanian capital.

The new stadium will be not only a sports facility.

Is spread over 36,000 square meters area, with 43,000 square meters of built area and provides an integrated structure: a stage of UEFA Category 4, which becomes an urban instrument well-adjusted within the social structure and be realized as a public building open to the city, in communication with land and nature.

Services and functions of the new National Stadium, in fact, will embrace urban activities including offices, hotels, shopping centers and entertainment areas, even in the absence of sporting events, to provide hospitality and comfort for every kind of user.

An improved space, optimized and innovative, designed according to the principles of sustainable quality, high energy saving and projected into the future.
