The new-build school is located in an elevated and prominent position in Dawley Village; fronting a new civic square. The topography of the site influenced the conceptual building design with rock strata depicted in brickwork layering and the beacon on the hill in the glowing sports hall.

The design creates exemplary, flexible, energy and space efficient learning environments in a two-storey teaching wing. The public library, primary healthcare facilities, dining and performance spaces as well as extended sports are located within the community wing all linked around the central heart space; thus creating a vibrant and inspiring place for up to 900 pupils.

Externally the community benefits from AWP pitches, MUGA courts and a national standard BMX track.
