As a leader of the team, I conceptualize this project as "Cernusco in movement" based on the idea of walkability prioritized, so the main strategy was to link the 3 main public buildings of the surroundings: a School, a Train Station and a Church, not only physically but also visually.

For that purpose, first we changed the accesibility mode to the site, which initially was by car, giving the opportunity to pedestrians to fully use the parking areas as new public spaces, second we re-arranged the disposition of 4 public buildings, moving their functions into one main building carefully designed and strategically localized, and third, we reconnect the Green Park with the Historical Centre, spreading movement and vibrancy along the site plus contributing with the reduction of CO2 emissions.

This multipurpose building contains a gym which is accompanied by an open terrace, linked by a brigde and green ramp, both provides expansive views to the green park, below the ramp a cafeteria with an expansion on the grass of the green park at the same time works as a hall for an underground conference room, while exhibition areas are directly connected with Vittoria Square and the main entrance.

Technological innovations:

+ Walkable green roof and ramp.
+ Ventilated, shading & colourful facade.
+ Geothermal energy system.
+ Rainwater harvesting system.
