STAINLESS STEEL COATING OF AN OFFICE BUILDING

The construction project is located within an industrial complex in the town of Zevio – VR – Italy.

An office building with basement, mezzanine, first and second in the size of the plant 32,00x10,00 m was completely covered with panels in stainless steel AISI 304 from scraps.
The company has its office here, the Verona Lamiere Spa (www.veronalamiere.it), in fact ti produces semi-finished metal, and it is equipped with the most modern and efficient systems for sheet metal processing, laser cutting and systems combined drilling punching.

The outer facade
Verona Lamiere SpA, has created a panel for cladding the exterior facade, from a scrap with cutting and bending; the panel can thus be coupled to the adjacent ones, already laid, and the screws for fixing are not in sight.
With this mounting technique, the thickness in the corners of the panel are added; the final result is a surface apparently flat, but actually faceted like a diamond, with small projections and recesses .
The natural light is reflected with different colors at different times of the day; the cold plate takes on shades of gold and pinkish at sunset.
Since the panels used had a fixed size and the windows of the facade had already been performed, it was necessary to realize the intrados with different sizes, ideal between the various windows, to respect the modularity of the pannells.

The cantilevered staircase
Even the cantilevered staircase was made ​with material from scraps.
A sheet 3 mm steel was cut, folded and subsequently anchored to the wall in reinforced concrete of the elevator shaft. After being painted it was covered with a stainless steel carpet.
