The design process was started end of April 2014 and to date it is on schedule to complete the Conceptual Design Stage.
Finding a good design solution really required care and extra thoughts as the building was sited within a small area in between existing buildings. The plot size was no more than 50m x 40m with some matured trees that also need to be maintainted. The authority requested a setback of minimum 4.5m on each sides, and the height is limited to 11 storey, and 1 basement.
The large facade is facing west so that it requires additional feature to serve as sunshade device and at the same time provides a mechanism to control the room temperature.
