SCHOOL COMPLEX | Ivana Linderova

The building of the school complex is located near the center of Ostrava in direct contact with the river Ostravica. It consists of a three compositionally linked objects, with solitary gym. Regard to the different levels of education of three different age categories of young people, from pre-school through to secondary school students each volume  is designed to meet the demanding conditions to study, teach or care for preschoolers.

School complex will be a center for all to analyze and exchange of ideas and experiences in everyday life. So it will act as a catalyst for growing new relationships within academia and the wider society.

School facilities offer opportunities for large communities from  the mass meeting to intimate and private operating points with reduced clearance in wooden consoles.

In the past schools operated only during working hours.

School buildings, including multifunctional spaces, sports fields, gyms and surrounding park will be used also by city dwellers for educational, sports and artistic leisure activities.

Glass cubes creates the transparent connection of three objects, as well as the visual link between the residential area and riverside.These places are  linked to outdoor courtyard and shared by children of different ages, which enhances the idea of ​​a school that promotes not only education but also social feeling, humanity and empathy for young people.
