Just Cavalli | OpenAir Studio

Just Cavalli The client wanted a shop-in-shop concept store for Just Cavalli at its new department store location. The Just Cavalli space flows into the Galliano shop and then Capital Zen, the multi-brand concept store to which it is attached. Our concept was to create a design element reflecting the brand's visual identity that could function as racks for merchandise display and as a partition to divide the space.  The display module is made of rusted metal, 60 cm x 60 cm and the patterns are randomly repeated to create the partitions that surround and suspend the clothing. The modules are floating in the center of the shop-in-shop space.   Back-painted glass in a diagonal stripe pattern clads the surrounding walls. The random patterns of the rusted metal partitions contrast with the glossy, linear walls, a reflection of the funky, edgy  types of individuals who wear the brand. The interior elements, the display modules and the clothing they contain, are exclamations of texture in the void of space. The design accentuates contrast between the objects, the clothing and surrounding space.
