This little "chambre de bonne", is located in the seventh arrondissement "Hôtel des Invalides", just a few minutes by Tour Eiffel. Offering a large view overlooking, on one hand, the Eiffel Tower and, on the other hand, the Hôtel des Invalides.

The residential complex is, therefore, located in the heart of the centre of the city. Standing out on the lovely famous rue St. Dominique, the entrance hall counts of a pretty courtyard. The wide neoclassical building spreads over several floors, these connected by corridors and various scales. The ensemble of buildings, once, has been used as military residences, but due its forms, today, is one of the most fascinating residential complex.

The little " chambre de bonne " is lying under the roof, at the top floor of the old military building (dated back XVII° century). Before the intervention it covered a surface not more then 18 square meters. Included in the original plan was a typical room with a separated kitchenette and toilet. The highest point of the space was not more than 2.40 m, coming down to the lower at 2.00 mt. Furthermore, the original plan didn't allow to see the amazing view, due the interiors walls of the  kitchen and bathroom.

The new plan is an open space. The old ceiling was removed, giving the chance to operate also along the roof beams, increasing, in such way, the entire surface.

Stefania Brugnatelli, as consultant, contributed to donate to the interiors a mix of Italian-French glamour, in order to accomplish this charming atmosphere. For the executive project the administratives technical plans has been produced by a colleague, architect based in Paris, who was also in charge on site to oversee men at works.
