The proposed project involves the construction of a new public space playful and eye catching, where you can spend your time enjoying the view of the city. So my idea is to convert the quay corner in a small artificial urban garden, where you can relax, play or sunbathe, if you want. The project is composed by a wooden platform with four wooden benches and seven air balloons, that act as trees. The structure of platform with the “bubble trees” is conceived to be perceived within in the landscape, either from the quay level or from the other sides of the city. The platform has a fragmented profil, that is generated by various surfaces with different inclinations, where people can sit or lie down to admire the view, also protected by the sun with the giant balloons, placed over their heads. Although the air balloons are anchored to the existing concrete floor with steel cables, they may have small and controlled movements with the wind, so they appear like an organism, that constantly changes its appearance. There are six spotlights on the platform to light up the balloons, during the dark hours, that emphasize the appearance of the “bubble trees”.
