SocietyM is an initiative from citizenM hotels. It was created for a new type of worker: those who aren't bound by offices or office conventions, wanderers doing business wherever the connectivity's good and the coffee fresh. We call these folk: business nomads. SocietyM offers business nomads spacious ‘creating rooms’, each fully equipped with audiovisual equipment, wipe-clean walls for notes, theories and scribbles. There is also a screening room for up to fifty people, so you can share big ideas with a big crowd. And when you're not presenting, there's a club room featuring Vitra furniture, bookshelves full of inspiration, and free WIFI.

WALK THROUGH:
Heart of SocietyM is the club room. A place where you can work, meet, play and relax. The space is designed as a modern and inspiring gentlemen's club. Two large cabinets run parallel along the space and are filled with books and artworks for inspiration. Divers seating facilities; Vitra style living room, working desks and a wooden robust library table are created to work, meet, play or read. A bar serves the best coffee and two working booths are there for the ones who need to work a bit more concentrated. The cabinets are made of white film faced plywood: the same principle as citizenM but in a different colour. The wooden bamboo floor creates a warm atmosphere as where the black ceiling creates intimacy. The printed carpets are pixelated images of old Persian carpets: a gentlemen’s club item modernised
The club room can be used by the members of SocietyM. At the entrance each member has a private mailbox which serves as a safe as well. 84 Different second hand mailbox letter plates emphasise the idea of each individual member.

Besides the club room anyone can hire the screening room or one of the 6 creating (meeting) spaces.
The screening room consist out of two cabinets containing the screen and artworks for inspiration. The flank walls are covered with velvet curtains, 50 Tom Dixon chairs provide a good view on the screen.
The creating rooms have a blackboard (chalk) and a white board wall, for everyone to share their ideas and notes during a meeting. One cabinet wall houses a screen, books and accessories for inspiration. The untreated black steel window frames with pivoting shades and the second hand wooden doors again create the feel of a modernised gentlemen’s club. The corridor in front of the creating spaces houses some low seating facilities to take someone apart from the meeting or make a phone call.
