Restauro e risanamento conservativo di abitazione rurale | Ilaria Caberti

Nella bassa parmense, nelle terre bonificate dai monaci benedettini nel 1100, dove l’orizzonte è interrotto solo da filari di gelsi e pioppi in lontananza, una corte, edificata nel tempo tra il 1800 e il 1900, è il teatro del progetto di ristrutturazione.

Ciò che ha ispirato l’idea iniziale è stata la lunga storia dell’edificio e i tanti cambiamenti che ha subito nel tempo. Qua e la, in angoli nascosti, affiorano le tracce, non sempre decifrabili, di storie lontane e di tante persone che hanno abitato e vissuto questo casale. Vecchie scale, porte aperte e poi richiuse, porticati diventati abitazioni, tinteggi murali eleganti….Tracce che hanno suggerito un progetto fresco e moderno, un intervento, in sostanza, che privilegiasse non solo le necessità della committenza ma anche il carattere e la storia del fabbricato.

L’intervento non ha previsto le demolizione di murature portanti ma solo l’apertura di alcuni vani porta già esistenti per creare percorsi fluidi tra le stanze e passaggi senza serramenti nella zona giorno. Si è voluto mantenere tutti i locali come  in origine, senza stravolgere l’impianto planimetrico storico, cambiandone solo la destinazione d’uso. Le uniche porte presenti sono quelle recuperate, restaurate, riadattate e ridipinte,  con i loro Sambran, che, mantenendo le proporzioni nei dettagli, hanno attribuito ai locali un carattere sia contemporaneo che retrò.  Dopo aver eseguito una sabbiatura e un trattamento antitarlo, travi e travetti sono stati dipinti di bianco, scelta che ha costituito il carattere dell’abitazione; spazi dalle ampie finestrature, ravvivati dal contrasto tra i pavimenti grigio cemento, la parete coloratissima e il bianco di travi e travetti. Ogni ambiente ha tutte le pareti bianche tranne una che è colorata,  sempre diversa, sul gusto della committenza.

Le linee semplici e pulite dei mobili contrastano con i soffitti rustici, ancorché bianchi, e il carattere antico dell’edificio, carattere rimasto presente e insito in tutti i locali.

In Parma, in the lands reclaimed by the Benedictine monks in 1100, where the horizon is broken only by rows of mulberry and poplar trees in the distance, a courtyard, built in the time between 1800 and 1900, is the theater's renovation project.

What inspired the initial idea was the long history of the building and the many changes it has undergone over time. Here and there, in hidden corners, crop tracks, not always decipherable, stories from far away and many people who have lived and lived in this house. Old stairs, doors open and then closed, arcades have become homes, elegant wall colors… Traces who suggested a fresh and modern design, an intervention, in essence, that would give preference to not only the needs of the client but also the character and history of the building.

Renovation has not led to demolish of load-bearing walls, but only the opening of some existing doors to create fluid paths between the rooms and passages without doors in the living area. We wanted to keep all the rooms as they were originally, without upsetting the historic floor plan, changing only the use. The only doors are renovated  and repainted, with their  Sambran, which, while preserving  the proportions in the details, have a local character contemporary and retro. After performing a woodworm treatment, beams and joists were painted white, a choice that has been the character of the house; spaces with large windows, enlivened by the contrast between the gray cement floor, the wall and the white colored beams and joists. Each room has all white walls except one that is colorful, always different, the taste of the client.

The simple, clean lines of the furniture contrasts with the rustic ceilings, even whites, and the old character building, character remained present and inherent in all rooms.
