The former warehouse (pakhuis) dating back to 16th century is located in the docks of Antwerpen. Once serving booming port activities, the building has undergone multiply renovations and was in 18th century converted into apartment building with a shop.
In 1850-s the facade received neoclassic plaster decor, which was lost with the passing time. As was the balcony and cornices of the 1st floor. In 2013 the facade showed the only evidence of quick and cheap renovation, obviously done in 1990-s, the years when the neighbourhood of now regenerated and prestigious Eilandje had a notorious reputation.
