The overall shape and layout of this drive-in airport was planned in such a way as to accommodate all future extensions as parts of the whole. Likewise, every structure, ceiling, flooring, stairway, and piece of furniture was developed following the same geometric logic. The triangular geometric grid of layout and floor plans was also applied to the elevation. The concrete carcass structure was left exposed both inside and outside. While all the general airport services are concentrated in the middle, the concourse ring mainly serves the decentralized, direct "handling" of passengers and planes. Arrivals and Departures are on the same level. gmp was not only commissioned to plan the airport, but also to design the technical buildings, roads, bridges, runways, landscaping, information system and almost all interior furnishings.
