Room Mate Hotels is a Spanish hotel chain founded in June 2001 by Kike Sarasola, whose philosophy considers that the best way to travel is visiting friends in each city; friends whose lifestyle we share and that convey their knowledge and experiences of the city taking us by the hand through it. Room Mate Aitana is a modern design hotel built in 2013. It graciously rests on a man-made island over the Ij River overlooking Amsterdam’s downtown. The hotel features a yacht dock, 7 meeting rooms and 284 rooms with state of the art equipment and a dashing lounge area to see and be seen.
