Malìparmi, the Italian fashion brand, was looking for original concepts and innovative ideas to be wisely implemented in the monobrand stores that will soon be opened by which the Brand wants to be established at an international level. “The House of Curves ” was born from the desire to create a warm and welcoming ambient as one’s home, combining craftsmanship and technology to better express the world conveyed by the Malìparmi brand. The circle-based pattern that forms the ceiling are an ideal reminder of the feminine body curves. The hyper-light vaults can be made with the use of different materials and techniques combined together:
1. laser cutted lightweight cardboard;
2. hot bent wood;
3. weaving wicker.
The two vaults are bent downwards, behind the cash desk in the access room with a digital moodboard near the wall, and behind the shop window in the adjacent room.
The goods on display are organized in modular cubes of wood (light oak) with integrated LED strips, stackable and combinable in order to realize endless combinations according to different needs, easy to move if necessary thanks to their low weight.
All the furniture has been chosen to recall the atmosphere of a living room; in the entrance room there are two upholstered chairs on a carpet that recalls the pattern of the vaults. In this room there is also the checkout with the shop assistant committed to helping customers not only with the payments, but also with the choice of clothes, thanks to the digital moodboard behind her. In the adjacent room is situated a coffee table which can intentionally hold elements typically found in a home, such as magazines and vases of flowers.
The dressing rooms have a central role in the experience of shopping: there are touch screen monitors where it is possible to check the entire collection, and it also possible to choose and send a request to one of the shopper assistants with the image or the code of the item that the client wants to try in the dressing room.
