This TLV apartment is located in the northern part of the Rothschild Boulevard, probably the most desirable avenue in Israel, a minute's walk from the national “H’abima” theater.

The apartment is Frontal to the boulevard, total floor 90 sqm, 3 rooms, in a building that was built in 1938.

The building was renovated  in 1996.

The apartment had  2 and a half bedrooms, it was dense with saturated walls, passageways and  corridors.

The apartment front to the boulevard was closed by walls and the flat suffered from differences in height floor and ceiling in addition to an old electrical and plumbing systems, tiny kitchen with barely any work surface. In other words an apartment devoid of character, grace, light and space.

The renovation process took about three months, in order to adapt to foreign residents with the following requirements:

Designed living space, wide window to the boulevard that exposes all its glory. A  Master bedroom that includes a luxurious bathroom and a further guest bedroom accommodation suited.

According to that the  apartment was renovated from the ground up, almost every possible wall was removed, eliminated all the cubicles and corridors and installed new plumbing systems, electrical and air conditioning.

The unique and desirable location of the apartment in the heart of the TLV white city, was the starting point for the concept design – “The heart of the White City”

When standing with the back to the boulevard you  get  from right to (entering the apartment)  left the entire length of the apartment, one black wall, middle sticking out white cube  isolated from the ceiling. This white cube, is the heart of the house symbolized the heart of the  White City.

The apartment characterized by slightly darker colors, black wall cabinets and fishbone flooring, the white color of the cube also brings conflict and balancing. This white cube is basically a bathroom, the sight, inside and exterior cleaning and characterized by modern minimalism, with no panels, no lintels, wall coverings and minimalist unique door that goes into a designed pocket, so that won't protrudes outside of the cube definitively.

The Black wall mentioned above, that in fact is a longitudinal incision of the apartment, is actually a huge closet wall, which is used on the right cube (entrance to the apartment) to  service and storage, including hidden washer and dryer machines, and on the left cube, is a buffer between the master bedroom and the living area the entry is made from a secret and invisible door that is part of this wall.

This wall also continues kitchen cabinet carpentry work, starting at the corner cafe which is a unique and colorful shot of color space.

The living area is spacious and open, offering seating options across the various hospitality as stools around the Island,  yellow B&B armchair, or sitting or lying on the big couch, specially designed for this apartment, allowing seating on both sides, lying on a chaise-lounge and ottoman partial mobilization from other locations in the apartment.

Element stands out unique that we love, especially in the apartment are the constructive  column and rafter that we chose to expose and present them in a raw form that constitute a kind of indication in the past, the process that the apartment had over the years, without having to hide the defects, fractures, anchors and cement in stark contrast to the clean, aesthetic, stylish, modern and new space as it is today.

The public space and the whole apartment are characterized by eclecticism of the material, combinations of wood, concrete, glass and steel resting side by side in space. But mostly monochromatic color warm mainly because the dominant fishbone wood floor, gets a touch of color by couch cushions, coffee corner and an image of a British artist Nick Gentry center of the white cube.

The lighting combined techniques  (viabizunno) and  pendant lamps (Benjamin Hubert and Brokis), both minimalist yet unique sophisticated

The second bedroom that faces the northern part of the boulevard, was rebuilt on a higher floor level covered with concrete as a symbol to the stage of nearby ”H’abima” National Theatre.

In addition, there is no wall built between this room and the living area space, the buffer was carried out using triplex glass partitions with wooden profiles, which provide acoustic insulation as well.

The rear of the room is a wall we chose to peel the plaster and thus to expose the original construction. In the process, we discovered  a niche that was  an unexpected surprise, we opted to bear it with love and planned into shelving unit and cartridge holders.
