This is assembly house for the people who had to live in Omoe Miyako, Iwate. It was built by 30 students in cooperation with carpenters who were affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. It is called ‘ODENSE’ because everyone can use it for the center as a place. ‘ODENSE’ means ‘WELCOME’ in Iwate’s direction. This building is the dome half of truncated dodecahedron (soccer ball) and built up with hexagon construction panel and pentagon shaped aperture area. Critical is easier workmanship and low cost. Timberwork is windmill for rib because we use 8 feet timber construction panel, which we can get at low cost. We judged the strength and took no notice of a right angle and we used free angle door hinge. Aperture area is an inexpensive film, it’s not a glass. Everyone uses this building for various porpoises for example; completed like stuff assent of companies, framework completion ceremony fishermen went in, completion ceremony with music live, and process involved people. This summer, we found defection in this building. The dome up rationality by the wood and film brought up warmer environment like wood vinyl greenhouse. We are building a second assembly house, added improvement by batch data from August this year. We judge improved point by the second one and then we renovate the first one. We built it by ourselves, so we can improve it. We can about these buildings and take responsibility. Thanks for the prime opportunity and the people who are living in Miyako city. I hope this action is contributory to assistance for reconstruction of Miyako city.
