“Facilitating Stronger International, Commercial & Cultural Relations between Brazil, China & UK.” Building on KREOD’s success at the London 2012 Olympic Games, it will bring to the upcoming 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro an International Trade Pavilion twenty times larger in size than that seen in London. Award-winning architectural designer Chun Qing Li, the founding director of KREOD and his team has revealed the design plans of this visionary initiative. The Game’s slogan: “Viva sua Paixão”, means “Live Your Passion” and this pivotal sporting event in South America’s most-visited city will allow the Brazilian people to do just that. KREOD’s involvement will present tangible and exciting opportunities in the surge of economic growth and prosperity from which a combined population of 1.6 billion people in Brazil, China and the United Kingdom will benefit. KREOD International Trade Pavilion forms the centrepiece in Barra da Tijuca, next to the official venue for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. KREOD functions beautifully both as an architectural landmark and an exhibition space - as a 1200 Sqm fully functioning structure, the pavilion allows entrepreneurs and industry leaders to showcase the world’s most innovative products and services via a one-of-a-kind events platform. Through an ambitious programme of cross-sector International business events during August and September 2016, the International Trade Pavilion will assist in accelerating economic growth throughout the participating countries. KREOD brings together some of the most talented designers, engineers and innovative materials to challenge current thinking and showcase sustainable and forward-thinking building methods The structural design showcases sustainable and forward thinking building methods in the digital age, challenging the new ways of thinking, designing, engineering, fabricating and installing urban architecture. The design considers practicalities of transportation, storage, disassembly and reassembly.
