Teaching school Ausias March

The new teaching school Ausias March in The University of Valencia has taken over the old centre located in Alcalde Reig Street. It was carried out by AIC EQUIP Architects and Engineers and it is located within an architectural complex of around 25000 square metres on the 'Naranjos' Campus. The Faculty occupies a space of 13572 m2 destined to house 48 teaching classrooms, 20 Seminars and a hundred offices to serve more than 2.200 pupils and 175 teachers. In the Teaching school they teach, amongst other things, the qualifications for Special needs teacher, PE teacher, Infants teacher and Music teacher. Actiu was chosen to provide the equipment for the new installations, in which they tried to combine the functionality of the office furniture with the design and quality of Actiu products. The Vital program, in this case twin desks, with lightning and electrification systems, along with the versatile Spacio chair, in pearl grey, were chosen for study rooms. The Spacio chair is a versatile, light and comfortable chair, designed to offer an efficient solution for public and communal spaces for intensive use. It is present in the classrooms and computer rooms acting as a companion to the Dynamic desk, whose principal advantage resides in its multiple growth possibilities which enable configurations in different positions and sizes. In the walkways and rest areas the Transit benches were installed, inspired by avant-garde architecture and manufactured in sheet steel with a central extruded aluminium beam which unites the back and the seat and gives strength. Spacio also offers the options of benches, with a support auxiliary table, a composition which can be found in the administration areas. The operative workstations have been furnished with the Vital desk program, choosing the version with auxiliary wings in the form of an 'L' which gives maximum functional space and a hanging modesty panel. The chair for workers is the TNK (serie 40), with a back fabricated in ergonomic polypropylene and with lumbar adjustment. The teachers' offices maintain the same structure as the administrative area; Vital desk, TNK 40 chair and the Spacio visitor chair, both in black. They have been complemented with pedestals with castors and Modular Cabinets for filing documentation. The new Teachers school in the UV also has, a spacious meeting room in which they have combined two types of distribution to meet any need. The management chairs Kados, with an exclusive design characterised by straight lines with smooth transitions between different volumes, stars in the room.
