Overlooking Lincolns inn filed square in London, "the House of Peroni" is a temporary venue designed by SHIRO STUDIO, featuring an outdoor pavilion and a series of immersive installations. The pavilion, inspired by the brand's bright blue colour, sits outside a listed Georgian building and welcome visitors to the House. The three storey Georgian venue will showcase for one month a collection of immersive installations, bars and a dining room. The design has been inspired by the brand's heritage and celebrates the made in Italy style and culture. Each floor contains uniquely design bars and installations. the black and white bar on the first floor pays homage to the work of Italian graphic artist Franco Grignani, active in the sixties, year that Peroni Nastro Azzurro was established. The immersive wallpaper is the result of a digital contemporary interpretation of Grignani's work, generating an optical three-dimensional tactile illusion by using a two-dimensional pattern. On the second floor SHIRO STUDIO is presenting a series of working models, sketches and prototypes illustrating the design development behind a set of four new accessories for peroni Italy, produced by alessi. These accessories comprises of a glacette, a bottle opener, a new drinking glass and a compact bottle for the bitter essence. On the top floor SHIRO STUDIO has created the Ribbon Table, a dining experience where guests will share the same table surface. The fluid, sinuous table brings guests together, whilst sharing the food experience, which is at heart of Italian food culture. the table top surface, fabricated by using lightweight composite aluminium panels, invades the entire room becoming a ceiling feature that connects the dining room with the adjacent bar. The House and pavilion will be open to the public for the entire month of May 2014.
